There are three ways to register for PJ Day for the Kids—

1) CREATING A TEAM is for grouping schools within a town or multi-town district, or for businesses who are interested in challenging employees and vendors to sign-up to fundraise within a team. All donations, to the team or fundraisers within the team, are accounted for in the Team Fundraising Total.

  • By School District: New this year, Town/School District Teams have been pre-populated on our PJ Day website to improve visibility of district-level involvement. Visit the PJ Day site and scroll down past the sponsors to search for your Town/District Team. Click to view page, then and click the "Join Team" button on the team pa. Please contact pjday [at] connecticutchildrens.org (pjday[at]connecticutchildrens[dot]org) if you do not see your district listed.

  • If you do create a team, please DO NOT delete your individual fundraising page to remove your name from displaying as Team Captain. A safe alternative is to change your Individual Fundraiser Nickname to "[Business Name] Coordinator"—this way we can still reach out with important updates regarding PJ Day!

2) JOIN A TEAM is recommended for School Coordinators, or for employees/vendors of businesses that have created a team to host an internal fundraising challenge.

  • Visit the PJ Day site and scroll down past the sponsors to search for your Town/District Team.
  • Find your district in the list and click to view the district page, then click the "Join Team" button. Upon completion of the registration process you will receive access to your school's fundraising page. Consider updating your Fundraiser Nickname in your dashboard to "School Name - Town" (EX: Central School - Simsbury), we suggest including the town name in the display name as many schools have similar names.

3) JOIN AS AN INDIVIDUAL: Upon completion of registration, you will be provided an individual fundraising page. If you prefer to not have your name displayed on your fundraising page, consider updating your Fundraiser Nickname in your dashboard.

Best for:

  • daycares and preschools
  • a family who wants to show their support
  • a business who is hosting a PJ Day for their employees to contribute to

Here are a few ways to help promote use of the Online Donation Page for your PJ Day for the Kids event:

  • Create a custom web address!
During the registration process, you will be prompted to create a unique ending for your page's URL (web address). This feature is also available anytime on your individual/team page dashboard. Use this unique URL for emails, social media and the customizable flyer found in the Toolkits provided here.

Note: if a URL was used for a previous CT Children's fundraising page it is no longer available. Adding the year to the end of your preferred page name is recommended. For example, /schoolname24

  • Use a QR Code on flyers and posters!
We suggest trying out a free QR Code Generator, like this one, but please double-check the URL you are using to ensure accuracy. Insert the QR Code on printed materials to make access to the website quick & easy for your audience of supporters.

PJ Day for the Kids is on Facebook and Instagram. Follow along for inspirational stories, updates and special announcements. We encourage followers to spread the word by sharing PJ Day posts to their news feed and story. This will increase awareness for the state-wide initiative and inspire greater participation.
