Connecticut Children's Dedicates the New Primary Care Center to Honor a Legacy of Compassionate Care

Connecticut Children’s proudly celebrated the opening of the Nancy Law, MD, Primary Care Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford. The new Center reflects Connecticut Children’s continued commitment to investing in the health and wellbeing of children across the state—creating welcoming, family-friendly spaces where kids can grow, thrive, and stay well.

Located on the fourth floor of 10 Columbus Boulevard, the Nancy Law, MD, Primary Care Center is designed to support each child’s journey to wellness with a beautiful, bright environment that reflects the same uplifting aesthetics families now experience in Connecticut Children’s new Clinical Tower. The Center shares the floor with Connecticut Children’s Physical and Occupational Therapy Clinic, strengthening access to coordinated care for families.

Families are greeted by a spacious reception area filled with natural light. The Center features 20 colorful exam rooms, each with large windows and views overlooking Colt Tower and the Sheldon/Charter Oak neighborhood, reinforcing the Center’s purpose as a place where children and families feel seen, supported, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Last year, 10,770 children received care during 33,841 visits at Connecticut Children’s primary care clinics.

The Center honors the legacy of Nancy Law, MD, a deeply compassionate primary care physician who served Connecticut Children’s patients and families from 1998 until her untimely passing in 2003. Dr. Law was known for her love of children, dedication to her patients, and passion for the work of primary care—often serving as the first trusted point of contact for families during the moments that matter most.

Dr. Law’s legacy continues through the Law family’s ongoing philanthropic support of Primary Care—particularly through Nancy’s Kids, a fund that helps meet critical needs for primary care patients and families in crisis. Connecticut Children’s is honored to recognize Dr. Law’s enduring impact by naming this new facility in her memory.
