Connecticut Children’s Hybrid Gala

Please note, no physical tickets have been provided; your names will be held at registration the night of the event. Guests are required to present a physical or digital copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card, along with a Photo ID, prior to check-in.

Connecticut Children’s is committed to the health and safety of our guests. As such, we have implemented the following safety protocols:

  • In-person audience is capped at 400 guests.
  • Guest tables will accommodate eight, rather than 10 guests to allow distancing.
  • We have increased space between tables.
  • All guests are required to bring a physical vaccination card or a photo of their vaccination card on their phone, with accompanying Photo ID, to present at the registration desk.
  • Connecticut Children’s is mailing complimentary at-home COVID-19 tests to all table hosts to share with their in-person Gala guests a week prior to the Gala.
  • We respectfully request that every guest take the at-home COVID-19 test the morning/afternoon of May 7, 2022, regardless of whether or not you are experiencing any symptoms.
  • Any guest who tests positive for COVID-19, or is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms—regardless of vaccination status—should not attend the in-person Gala.
  • If you have been in contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the event, and you were not protected with hospital-grade PPE, please do not attend the in-person Gala.
  • Masking is strongly recommended for all high risk/immunocompromised participants. All other participants do not require masking.
  • The Connecticut Convention Center complies with the Governor’s State of Connecticut and City of Hartford mandates. Please visit this link to view the Connecticut Convention Center’s Cleaning, Health & Safety Protocols.

Parking vouchers for complimentary self-parking at the Connecticut Convention Center will be distributed at registration.

6:00-7:00 p.m.Welcome Cocktail Reception with roaming entertainers, Scottish Highland-themed games and access to unique silent auction items.
7:00-8:00 p.m.Feast of Jubilation in the castle’s grand hall.
8:00-9:15 p.m.Celebration of Bravery featuring inspirational stories, delightful entertainment, live auction, prize drawings and the Bid for Kids live appeal for all to enjoy.
9:15-11:00 p.m.Dessert, music and dancing with Boston’s premiere band, Search Party!

Pre-event Reception Passed Hors d ’Oeuvres

  • Ahi tuna, wonton crisp with chile aioli and green onions
  • Sesame crusted chicken skewers
  • Crudité in a cup*

First Course

  • Field greens with sweet beets, shaved leeks & goat cheese rolled in toasted oats
  • Served with cider vinaigrette

Entrée

  • Center cut tenderloin of beef with a caramelized onion & stout demiglace
  • Paired with Faroe Island salmon topped with a lemon, parsley butter sauce
  • Accompanied by neeps & tatties, glazed baby carrots and braised buttered kale
  • Roasted vegetable risotto with spicy plant-based Italian sausage**

Dessert

Served after the Gala program in our post-event lounge

  • Chocolate flowing tiered fountain with imported warmed milk chocolate convection
  • Served with fresh seasonal fruits and berries, pretzel rods, marshmallow pound cake, and Oreo cookies
