For inpatients at the medical center, Connecticut Children’s offers the next-best-thing to Trick or Treating from house to house – team members clad in costumes participate in “Reverse Trick or Treating” – going door to door to visit with patients and give them a special gift – bringing the fun and festivities directly to patient rooms. Support this most spooktactular event!!!

Snowflake Shop
December 2023
The Snowflake Shop invites parents to select gifts for their hospitalized child for FREE during the December holidays. Families who are unable to leave the medical center are welcome to visit the shop and choose from a selection of new toys, books and other gifts to give to their child as well as their other children. Support the Snowflake Shop and make spirits bright for patients and their families.
Superhero Day
April 2023
Connecticut Children’s marks National Superhero Day by recognizing the real superheroes – our young patients. To celebrate, patients wear superhero costumes, participate in fun activities, receive special superhero gift bags, including their own capes, and encounter special superhero visitors. Invite your heroes to support our superheroes and honor our inspiring patients.
Caring Beyond the Bedside
"The Snowflake Shop demonstrated that Connecticut Children’s truly cares about families. Having our 6-year-old daughter hospitalized through Christmas was very difficult for our family. While the generosity of those involved in the Snowflake Shop could not bring our child home for the holiday, it brightened the spirits of all three of our children during a challenging time."
